Road Legal 4D Number Plates
UK number plates must use reflective material, display black characters on a white front plate and yellow rear plate, show supplier details and include the correct British Standard marking where required. 4D raised characters are allowed when the plates meet the current legal requirements, including single-shade black characters on plates fitted after 1 September 2021.
